The Prenatal and Perinatal Referral Network

PPN Somatics, Birth Trauma and Baby Bodywork

Many professions now embrace that babies have experiences starting preconception, including conception, prenatal life, birth and after birth. These professions included fetal medicine, neuroscience, epigenetics, bonding and attachment, psychology, maternity, somatic psychology, trauma resolution, baby therapies and more. We know that our earliest experiences have lifelong implications.

Mission:

The mission of the Prenatal and Perinatal (PPN) Somatic Collective is to provide education about skills and application of prenatal and perinatal somatic health practices, to preserve the legacy of our therapeutic paradigm, and create opportunities for practitioners to go deeper to learn the art and practice of PPN.

Vision:

The PPN Somatic Collective provides a practitioner directory of professionals who are trained to work with earliest trauma: with adults, mother/birthing parent-baby dyads, families, and those trained in Integrated Prenatal and Perinatal Dynamics (a professional training offered through this online platform). The Collective is supported by The Hearth, a monthly meeting of PPN Somatic enthusiasts that provides interviews and informal talks, skills, lectures, and reflective practices. Our field of practices recognizes that the roots of human health start preconception, and that our earliest experiences including conception, prenatal life, birth and after birth up to 18 months may provide a template for health lifelong. The PPN Somatic Collective consists of highly trained practitioners trained by Ray Castellino, Anna Chitty, John Chitty, and Myrna Martin in addition to other interests and passions, and who have commitments to teaching prenatal and perinatal somatic therapies. These trainers have come together to provide basic skills and information, and possibilities to dive deeper into training for participants.
