We are excited to present this Parenting Summit for parents and professionals to benefit the BEBA Clinic! We offer six 90 minute presentations over six weeks, October 17 through November 21, 2023.

Gestation, birth and early childhood are remarkable stages in a person’s life. The experiences we have during these stages profoundly affect our long term physical, emotional and mental health, including brain development, learning capacity, emotional stability, physical coordination, early language skills and self esteem are all affected by life’s earliest experiences.

Stress, emotional tension and routine medical procedures before, during birth, and after birth may have long-lasting traumatic effects on babies and their families, and continue to do so as children grow. Babies and prenates routinely suffer traumatic experiences that negatively impact their development. These experiences make it difficult for them to manage stress, deal with conflict, develop self-esteem or even fully attach to their parents. In later life, unresolved early traumas affect personality, behavior and relationship formation.

Fortunately, there are new approaches to helping babies, children and their families work through the consequences of traumatic early beginnings. The BEBA (Building and Enhancing Bonding and Attachment) clinic in Ojai, California,is a leading research clinic in the field of early trauma and provides support to families to integrate their early traumatic experiences.

During this Summit the presenters who are BEBA facilitators and collaborators will explore ways to support families heal these early traumatic experiences so that families can thrive.

The presenters in this Summit will combine talks, videos, settling practices, exercises, sharing, and questions and answers to interact with participants and have an engaging and transformative experience.

Times for our Summit presentation:

10 am - 11:30 am Pacific, 1 pm - 2:30 pm Eastern, 7:30 pm-9:00 pm European (Spanish) time zone.

"With a calm, gentle and spacious approach, old familial patterns are coming to the surface, being examined and being let go. Participating at BEBA has been one of the most helpful things my family and I have ever done. We never want to leave…the support just feels so good. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our sessions at BEBA and how they have helped us come more fully into ourselves as a family. "

About the BEBA Clinic: BEBA's mission is to support families to resolve prenatal, birth and other early trauma, both physical and emotional, while facilitating the development of compassionate relationships, the healthy growth of children, and effective parenting.

Why is early trauma resolution important?
Experiences in the womb, at birth and during early childhood profoundly affect one’s long term physical, emotional and mental health. Brain and nervous system development, immune system strength, learning capacity, stress coping strategies, emotional stability and physical coordination are all experience dependent. The sequence of development is laid out genetically but the early environment is the major contributor to how well the systems work. Optimal development occurs with the timely resolution of early trauma and the resulting secure attachment between parents and children. Secure attachment provides the base for a healthy life with healthy relationships.
