I look forward to welcoming graduates from Level 1 ICJ to this shared opportunity to deepen our understanding and enhance our fluency with this unique therapeutic approach.

Although there will be some time set aside for didactic and theory-based delivery, much of the learning in this series will be directly experienced through practical exercises, and derived from our heartfelt discussion of real case work in a group-supervision context. The value and relevance will be gained equally from:

  • sharing your experiences
  • asking questions
  • listening to – and feeling with! – each others’ dialogue.

The best way to solidify our understanding of the Inner Child Journey is through direct embodiment, implementing the Journey creatively for ourselves as well as for our clients. This module will materialize as the participants bring questions about their interventions with clients, as well as shared anecdotes from our personal lives.

The Topic-areas to be covered:

  • Revision of steps for emotional safety
  • Revision of the Goals and Expectations of the ICJ
  • How to start the ICJ conversation
  • The difference between our ‘automatic self’ and our ‘intentional self’
  • Developmental nutrients – a deeper exploration. Playful and creative approaches.
Notes on attendance:
You can attend the sessions live or listen to the recordings afterwards when you are unable to attend directly. However, sessions 4 and 5 will involve a practicum, so live attendance is compulsory for those two sessions if you wish to receive a certificate of completion.

Required reading before start of the course:

1.Inner Child Journeys

2.‘Parenting for a Peaceful World: chapters 24 to 29' - (note: unfortunately, the chapters 24 to 29 do not cover the last two stages of childhood development. However, these will be discussed live in our sessions).
